I am also one in that bunch in which everyone has 'n' bikes and need / wish to have 'n+1' bikes. Till now my n was 1, and finally I upped it to 2, by presenting myself My Bike. Here comes, My Bike...
After free service offered 3 months after buying, my bike had pretty bad time with me because of lack of maintenance. The only time the bike had seen a bike shop workbench afterwards was the day before my first 1000km BRM.. My lack of care for chain for 9000 kms costed me replacement of all the moving parts of drive train then. Though there were no problems I faced, I changed chain, crank and casettes not to have any problem in 1000 km ride. I literally took an oath to check and maintain drivetrain..
The first bike computer I used is B'twin count 8 wireless. I have heard and read that wireless comps show crazy readings when the front lights are turned on, due to interference (not only that. This page says that even going under (high) power lines make the same, but I never heard anyone complaining for power lines, Sreepathi had this problem). However, mine had a different problem - the sunlight syndrome - yes, that's how I used to call it.
The medal ceremony for Brevets of 2013 season and some of 2014 happened last saturday of June 2014 at Old Physics Department, IISc Bangalore. As I always believe, medal ceremonies are the only occasions where a rider gets to meet all his/her co-riders in all the brevets ridden through the season.
